BT Survey
Recently BT have conducted a survey
of the number of calls the surgery receive on a daily basis. On one
particular day we had a volume of 1100 calls. BT said "even a call
centre couldn't cope with this volume of calls".
Help us to help you! We are
aiming to decrease the volume of calls. Please help by following the
suggestions below.
Prescriptions - repeat
prescriptions must be ordered 24 hours in advance of collection. To
avoid difficulty getting through to the surgery on the telephone we
would advise patients to use the tear-off slip attached to repeat
prescriptions. Acute items i.e. Antibiotics or urgent
prescription requests from hospitals should be ordered as early in
the day as possible in order for the prescription to be ready that
same evening. Collection time 5.45pm.
New phone system - as a result
of the Patient Survey 2006 we have now updated our phone system. The
introduction of the new system may have caused some confusion as we
now have a voice message. This is not an answering machine,
continue to hold after the message and your call will be answered
when a receptionist is free. In an emergency situation please press
1 when you here the message.
